Help Us Help Our Veterans

Many veterans have been in combat, seeing and experiencing things that are unimaginable to the average person. This often leaves them increasingly susceptible to mental illness and physical injury, making it more difficult to assimilate back to civilian life.  Many struggle to find their next meal,  or even a safe place to sleep. And on the heals of a pandemic, their mental, physical, and economical well-being may be in even greater jeopardy. Though these veterans weren’t left behind on the battlefield, they have been forgotten on the streets.  Veteran’s Outreach of Illinois is here to change that.  And in the word’s of Uncle Sam, we “Want You” to help make that happen.

Our current goal is to build tiny home or barrack style communities, starting in Kane County - with the hope to grow more throughout the state of Illinois.  These communities will serve as a hub that provides access to job skills training, mental and physical health services, and hopefully a camaraderie that has long been missed by the men and women who served our nation. You don’t have to enlist in the military, as there are plenty of ways to help.

We are still in the infant stages of making our goals a reality, and so we are trying to fundraise as much as possible. So we coridally invite you to donate what you can, any amount will help!

Donating money isn’t the only way to help.  Currently, we are 100% volunteer based. So everybody is giving their time, talents and resources of their own free will. This can pose many obstacles, as we all have careers and families of our own. However,  the more volunteers we have, the quicker we’ll be able to accomplish our mission. We are always looking for volunteers to help with the following:

Basically any role that can be filled in order to run a business.  You name it, we need it. The more the merrier, because we know volunteer time will be limited.
